AADE's e-timologio and e-timologio.gr: what's the difference
In short
AADE's app (officially called "timologio") is the Greek tax authority's free tool for issuing invoices and transmitting them to myDATA. E-timologio.gr is an independent service with no connection to AADE: it collects the documents your business receives, from emails, photos or PDFs, and shares them in an organized way with your accountant. They don't compete; they do different jobs and work together.

What AADE's timologio is
Timologio is a free app from AADE, the Greek Independent Authority for Public Revenue, for issuing invoices and transmitting them to myDATA in real time. Many people search for it as "e-timologio", but its official name is timologio. It is aimed mainly at businesses and professionals that have no invoicing system of their own or issue only a few invoices.
Since 1 October 2026, business-to-business (B2B) e-invoicing is mandatory in Greece for businesses with gross revenue up to €1,000,000 as well, with a transition period until 31 December 2026. Timologio is a free way to comply; the alternative is a certified e-invoicing provider.
Since version 2.0 (April 2026), the app also shows the documents issued to you as a recipient, with a PDF download for e-invoices. It only sees what has been transmitted to myDATA, though.
What e-timologio.gr does
E-timologio.gr solves the problem that starts once a document reaches the business: collecting it, organizing it and getting it to the accounting office without endless emails, Viber messages and folders of paper.
- Every business gets its own email address: forward supplier emails there, snap paper documents with your phone, or upload many PDFs at once.
- Date, amounts, tax ID (ΑΦΜ) and line items are extracted automatically and become searchable.
- Documents are matched against what appears in myDATA, so you can see what's missing.
- The accounting office sees all its clients in the same structure, with search, filters and export to Excel.
- Data stays in the EU.

How they work together
A small business issues its invoices with timologio. Its purchase documents arrive from everywhere, though: the electricity bill by email, a fuel receipt on paper, a software subscription from a foreign company that doesn't transmit to myDATA.
Instead of collecting them in a folder or sending them one by one to the accountant, it forwards or photographs them into e-timologio.gr. The accounting office finds them organized, next to what myDATA shows, and doesn't have to ask for them again.
